All about the skirt

It was a Sunday afternoon and Kora looked adorable in this skirt. She wanted to run and play and I couldn't manage to take the skirt off because she looked so beautiful. It flowed in the breeze and it seemed like she should have been in a commercial posing the old navy brand. HA HA (maybe I am partial) Here are the fun pics we took on Sunday: (my camera is not working well, so these are all from my camera phone)

She has started climbing EVERYTHING, including the picnic table. It makes me sooo nervous, I would rather stay inside now. LOL

Notice she doesn't let her fruit loops go!! Those are her favorite this week.

LOVE THAT FACE!!!

Daddy had fun swinging with us!!

Fun in the Sun

We spent the afternoon at my aunts daughter in law's pool. It has only been a few days since Kora's tubes have been put in, but with the putty the doctor gave us, she enjoyed the water!! As you can see below the putty just fits to her ear and she managed to leave them alone the entire time. Here are some fun pics from our day!!

At the end of the day, my aunt took care of Kora and we had a fun night of cooking out with friends. Thanks Cindy!!!

Bargain Grocery Shopping

I have always been a fan of bargain grocery shopping, however since having Kora I haven't been able to tote her around to four or five places in search for the best deals. So I have been sticking to my all time favorite place for a one stop shop: WALMART. But I knew this month we were going to be having some extra expenses since Kora is getting tubes put in her ears next week, so I thought I really need to save every penny I could. I LOVE having a menu 1st before i plan what I need so that I only spend money on needed items instead of junk that will be stored in my pantry for a month. So I planned my menu for two weeks and made a list and decided for some reason, today was the day to try to take Kora with me shopping, so off we went to 4 different grocery stores getting some great sales!! Before I show you what I got from each store I thought I would share my two week menu to give you idea of why I bought the items I did.

THE TOTALS: The menu is for two weeks, but I bought things I needed that will last me for a month...organic milk last 1 month, Crisco, pepper, toilet paper, butter, cheese, sandwich meat, dishwasher tabs and liquid plumber. So all in all when I go back in two weeks I won't need to spend this much!!

I must say I had a fun day and Kora was a trooper, she had plenty of snacks to help keep her busy!! I also wanted to post my favorite recipe: Black Bean and Mango Salsa
1 can black beans
1 mango chopped
a bell pepper chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
4 green onions chopped
a handful of chopped cilantro

Weed Day & Park Day

WEED DAY:

She ran from me to go play in the rocks in the driveway, so no weed pulling for awhile.
Kora loves to give me her rocks when she really likes them. lol

Her rock collection in the back yard.

She had to just sit in the flower bed to get the ones she really wanted.

She had to take her shoes off to see what the dirt really felt like on her toes.

She liked the way the dirt felt in her hands!!!

It was so soft from the rain and look at those lips... i just wanna eat them off!!Needless to say the dirt ended up in her mouth and the morning ended in the bath tub!!

PARK DAY:

Swinging with Teel at the park was so fun, they kept their eyes on each other!!

She wanted to get in this with Teel so bad...

Teel was a monkey!!

Riding the horse was soooo fun!!! We had a blast!! After we ate lunch and she barely made it home before passing out. She was so tired from all that playing!!!

Summer Fun

Kora's 1st time in the pool and she was so excited to get in, even though it was freezing cold. However, we put up a baby pool in the backyard and she refused to get in, she shook her head and body like it's too cold. lol She looked beautiful in her suit though.

Hanging out with friends:

Feeding the ducks with Emilee. Kora was feeding herself with bread. lol

Lizzy at Aunt Cindy's house. Lizzy was protecting her with "sunscreen" (really: water) so she wouldn't burn. Soo cute!!

Preslie and Kora hanging out in the chairs, they were both so relaxed together. So fun to watch!!

Kora's 1st trip to the zoo, she loved this lazy bear...

Feeding the goats leaves, which i am pretty sure you aren't supposed to do.

Playing with me on the floor. She loves bouncing on my stomach until i can't breath...so fun!!

Playing outside and sneaking some dirt probably!! This summer has been so sweet. My favorite thing is to watch how excited she gets with every new thing she comes into contact with. It could be a piece of trash and she says, "ooo!!" I hope as I grow, I will still get excited about things, maybe not trash but something that sparks my interest!!
